This question is not an invitation to narrate your CV. It is a test of whether you can frame your own relevance under mild pressure.
Use three beats. Beat one: where you are now and the scope of it. Beat two: the one or two achievements most relevant to this specific role. Beat three: why this role, this company, now.
Ninety seconds is the target. Anything under thirty seconds reads as underprepared; anything over two minutes loses the room.
Rehearse aloud, not in your head. The gap between what you intend to say and what you actually say only appears when you hear it.
Finish with a question of your own. It converts the opening from an interrogation into a conversation, and it signals that you came to evaluate as well as be evaluated.
